The Center on Colfax Pride Give Back

In celebration of Pride Month, LittleJohn Produce Box Project teamed up with Black Box Bakery to offer a box of Pride Croissants, which includes 2 rainbow butter croissants and 2 chocolate croissants. $2 of each croissant box sold will be donated to the Center on Colfax and the LJPBP team will be matching all donations! The boxes will be available for pickup or delivery on June 25th.

The Center on Colfax is a Denver nonprofit organization focused on creating a safe and welcoming space for Colorado’s LGBTQ community. Their mission is to to “engage, enrich, and advance” the lives of those in this community, and the Center does so by offering variety of accessible and free services, programs, and events, including:

  • HIV/STI screenings
  • Mental health counseling
  • Resource libraries
  • Fitness classes
  • Health insurance assistance
  • Social services
  • RANGE consulting

They also provide services and events tailored to specific groups, including LGBTQ youth (Rainbow Alley), older adults (SAGE of the Rockies), and transgender individuals.

Additionally, the Center hosts the Colorado LGBTQ History Project, which aims to collect, archive, and share the oral history of the LGBTQ community. The project involves digital recordings, educational events, document archiving, and networking opportunities for anyone who wants to get involved.

The Center will be hosting Denver’s annual Pride Weekend on June 26th and 27th. This year’s Pride includes both virtual and in-person celebrations, and the Center itself will be one of the several Pride Hubs available for in-person activities. Join them for a beer garden, food trucks, a DJ, exhibitors, and plenty of festivities!
